Your giving link
Connecting the giving provider you already use so every Give button on the site points the right way.
We do not process gifts. You keep the giving tool you already have, and your site sends people to it from every Give button. One field, every button.
Set it up
In Church settings find Giving.
- Giving link. Paste the full link where people give. Copy it from your provider's dashboard or from the Give button on your old site. It should start with https://.
- Provider. Pick Tithe.ly, Pushpay, Planning Center, Givelify, Zeffy or Other. This only changes the wording on the button, like "Give with Tithe.ly," so people recognize the tool.
- Publish.
Every Give button in the header, the next steps strip, the footer and the Give page now opens your link. Your site also has a short link, yoursite/give, that redirects there. That is the one to print and to say out loud.
Testing it
Open your site on your phone, tap Give, and make sure it lands on your church's giving page, not a login screen. If it asks you to log in, you copied a dashboard link. Go back to your provider and copy the public giving page link instead.
No giving link yet
Leave the field empty and every Give button disappears. Nothing breaks. Add it when you have it.
Text-to-give and QR codes
If your provider gives you a text keyword or a QR code, you can put the keyword in the Give page description. For a QR code, use the free launch-day kit with your giving link as the address, and print it.
Changing providers
Paste the new link, pick the new provider, publish. Every button updates at once. Keep the old provider active for a month, since some people have the old link saved.
