Your watch live link
Pointing the Watch live buttons at your stream, whether it is YouTube, Facebook or anything else.
The Watch live buttons are the most clicked buttons on a church site on Sunday morning. They all read from one field.
Set it up
In Church settings find Watch live and paste a link. Good options:
- YouTube. Your channel's live link, youtube.com/@yourchurch/live. It shows your current stream when you are live and your most recent one when you are not.
- Facebook. Your page's videos tab, or the live link Facebook gives you.
- A streaming service. Any public link where people can watch.
Press Publish. Every Watch live button in the header, the hero and the footer opens that link in a new tab.
Blank means hidden
Leave the field empty and the Watch live buttons disappear. No broken buttons.
Sermons and live are different
Your YouTube channel link (see Sermons from YouTube) fills the Watch page with past messages. The Watch live link is for right now. Most churches set both.
A note on timing
If you go live at 10 and the service starts at 10:15, say so in the service times ("Live at 10:15 on YouTube"). People who click and see a countdown are fine. People who click and see nothing leave.
Pulsing button
On Crest the Watch live button pulses gently in the header. Under a visitor's "reduce motion" setting it stays still. That is correct, not a bug.
