Article 10

Inviting a teammate

Giving someone on your team their own editor sign-in, what they can and cannot do, and removing access.

You do not have to be the one updating the site. Invite a teammate and they get their own sign-in with editor access.

Invite someone

In your portal open Team and enter their email address. They receive an email with a sign-in link. There are no passwords to share, ever. Each person signs in with their own email, each time, with a fresh link.

What an editor can do

  • Edit and publish content, photos and events.
  • Read and work the inbox: mark submissions, add notes, export.
  • Change auto-reply wording and notification addresses.
  • Read help articles and contact support.

What an editor cannot do

  • See or change billing.
  • Request a refund or cancel the subscription.
  • Connect or remove a domain.
  • Invite or remove other people.

Those stay with you, the owner.

Good practice

  • Invite with a shared church address if the role changes hands often (media@yourchurch.org), so the sign-in follows the role, not the person.
  • Agree on one person who presses Publish on Saturday night so nobody overwrites anybody.
  • Use History in the editor if two people stepped on each other. Restore the right version in one click.

Remove access

Open Team, find the person, press Remove. Their next sign-in link will not work. Do this the same day someone steps down from the role.

Changing the owner

Email us from the owner's address with the new owner's email and we will move the account. This is the one thing that takes a human, because it moves billing.
